Some of you may remember former resident Jessica Jones from a few years ago. Yesterday Dominion and Phoenix ran into her on a recon mission involving the Brotherhood. During this encounter Jessica became injured, so she was brought back to the mansion for assessment. While assessing her injuries we discovered evidence of significant psychic tampering.

It turns out that when Jessica arrived at the mansion in 2014 she was acting at the behest of a telepath who wanted to keep tabs on the mansion. What we were up to, whether he was on our radar, that sort of thing. He pulled her out after M-Day because he didn't see a point in wasting a resource here any longer.

I've cleaned up the damage, and Phoenix and I are monitoring her recovery to ensure there are no after-effects. She also needs time to heal from her physical injuries. She may be here for a while. Please be aware her memory of the last few years may be blurry.

The telepath influencing her isn't someone we've encountered before. He can influence a large number of people at once, and the influence persists even outside of his immediate vicinity. For prolonged manipulation he seems to need to touch base with the victims every 2-5 weeks. The effect still lasts long enough to be dangerous.

Not sure how old he is -- mid-40s, possibly early 50s. He's had time to accumulate experience. Expensive tastes, but more bespoke creations than brands. Favors the color purple. Wears Clive Christian Original Collection NO1. You'll recognize it as one of the most disgusting things you've ever smelled in your life. He never pays for anything himself, but there wasn't much else that could be used to trace him.

I've attached a sketch of his face and more detail on his physical characteristics.

His name is Zebediah Kilgrave.

In the immediate - does she need anything? Food, bedding, anything we can gather up and deliver to you to pass on? I don't remember her time here before well, but she didn't seem the type that liked to be coddled. I wouldn't want her to get overwhelmed right after first dealing with all that.

In the longer term... Kevin, Ange, permission to find out everything I can on this fucker so we can torch him out of existence???

Actually, question - you said he pulled her out after M-Day so as not to waste a resource. How ready do we need to be when he decides he wants her back this time?

Not sure about the immediate needs -- from what I gather she'll be in the Medlab for a few days recovering. For the time being, it's probably better to give her a little space. At least until she doesn't need the good drugs anymore. Jean would have a better idea of what kind of timeline we're looking at.

If you know what room she's gonna be in after, we can get that ready for her. Last thing I'd want to worry about after medical is putting the sheets on my bed or if I've got toilet paper and clean towels.

Not sure. The potential is definitely there, but he also doesn't strike me as the ambitious type. My impression is that if he'd thought we were on to him he'd have gone to ground rather than confront us.

Additionally, I'm not positive he'll even be looking for her. Long-term use of his telepathy has a deleterious effect on his targets. After a certain point the victim's mind starts to break down under the strain. Jessica had already lasted much, much longer than most of them. It's likely he'll think she's dead.

As long as you can keep him alive while you're pulling his spine out, I don't see why you couldn't make that excruciating. Or maybe just break the vertebrae one at a time? I've heard nerve pain's the worst kind of pain there is.

I mean, in reality, I'd probably just stay far enough away so he couldn't get a foothold in my brain and shoot him in the eyes. Threat neutralized. No sense giving him time to defend himself.

Just a head's up. Kilgrave is a ghost. Nothing in the FBI files or RCMP or Interpol or SHIELD. Or several other databases I'm really not supposed to have access to and could enjoy a few interesting years in federal prison for searching. Every Zebediah Kilgrave is the wrong age, place or in most cases, no longer living to match what Jessica remembers. Assume it is either an alias, or he's found a way to keep himself off any kind of paper trail; no license, passport, bank account, tax records... nothing.

I'm assuming the folks at Snow Valley are already tapping into the non-official channels. I'm just going to assume that whoever this asshole is, our way to track him isn't going to be through anything institutional, so we should focus on the less orthodox avenues.
