[ALL TEAMS] Halloween and Avalon
Well. The good news is I think I've figured out what happened on Halloween.
The bad news is I can't confirm it. And it's taking Avalon down with it.
I'd stored a book in there a few days before Halloween - it had some magic in it, but nothing to make me think it was capable of causing all this. But it disappeared after the curse broke and, as far as I can tell, ripped a hole in Avalon on the way out. Avalon's stability has always been a bit questionable at best - we anchored one side of it here, and another point of entry was in England, which seems to have collapsed completely already - probably because there was no one to properly maintain it in the immediate aftermath.
The entrance on our side is still functional for the moment, but I'm not going to depend on it to stay that way. The space has been warping and slowly falling apart since Sunday. I don't think there's a way to save it - there aren't exactly a ton of examples of pocket dimensions falling apart for me to work off of - but I'm going to keep looking into it, and in the mean time start packing up what I can to get it somewhere safe. There's absolutely no way I can save every single artifact, but there's a lot of history and even more power in there that's going to be lost once Avalon goes down. If it keeps up its current rate of decay, that'll give me time to collect some of the more important things I've found. If it speeds up, I'm going to need help, but I'll readdress that point if it comes to it.
