XP Teams - X-Men, X-Force, X-Factor, and others

Recently, Harvard removed a book bound in human skin. It, amazingly, is not magic or cursed in any way.

However, if they're going to start going through their collection and possibly removing books, there are at least three I've identified that we should absolutely get away from them because they are magic. It's not a high priority thing, they're not accessible to the public and they haven't been identified for review, but sooner rather than later would be good.

Well. The good news is I think I've figured out what happened on Halloween.

The bad news is I can't confirm it. And it's taking Avalon down with it.

I'd stored a book in there a few days before Halloween - it had some magic in it, but nothing to make me think it was capable of causing all this. But it disappeared after the curse broke and, as far as I can tell, ripped a hole in Avalon on the way out. Avalon's stability has always been a bit questionable at best - we anchored one side of it here, and another point of entry was in England, which seems to have collapsed completely already - probably because there was no one to properly maintain it in the immediate aftermath.

The entrance on our side is still functional for the moment, but I'm not going to depend on it to stay that way. The space has been warping and slowly falling apart since Sunday. I don't think there's a way to save it - there aren't exactly a ton of examples of pocket dimensions falling apart for me to work off of - but I'm going to keep looking into it, and in the mean time start packing up what I can to get it somewhere safe. There's absolutely no way I can save every single artifact, but there's a lot of history and even more power in there that's going to be lost once Avalon goes down. If it keeps up its current rate of decay, that'll give me time to collect some of the more important things I've found. If it speeds up, I'm going to need help, but I'll readdress that point if it comes to it.

The people more responsible than me are putting out fires, so let's see what I can summarize here...

The nanite invasion was courtesy of Fixer/Norbert/the bloke in Alaska who used nanites to take over an entire town and then three or four of our people (yes he died, no I don't know how he fixed that). If you hear anyone talking about how brilliant Norbert is, knock them out, it's definitely the nanites talking.

He also had a robot trying to break into the mansion, which has been taken care of. He was definitely in there somewhere controlling it - can't say for sure how, but I traced the mental thread back to wherever his human brain is and fried the connection. He's still alive, but likely sufficiently scrambled. The robot was laked, so it's definitely dead and ready to be dissected by any interested parties.

The nanites should be down, but Kyle needs a few super senses people to help clear the mansion of nanites before the evacuation order can be cleared. Talk to him about that.

Something (and yes that's the best word I have for it) attacked Clea in the library. I don't know what, I just heard her scream and found her bleeding. I'm taking her to the med lab, can someone, or multiple someones, take a look around and see if you find anything? And no, I'm fairly certain it was no one's cat, unless someone is secretly keeping a panther in their closet and it escaped.
