The parents of a young mutant woman who died from an apparent drug overdose in October hired XFI to look into the circumstances of her death. I've attached our draft report, but basically, a new formulation of Kick called Rush is being distributed in the clubs. It's laced with some additive that triggers uncontrollable power manifestation that is nearly always fatal. We've not yet identified any intervention to stop an OD, like Narcan (which itself is useless).

We've discovered this is not simply a matter of profit over lives like mixing fentanyl with party drugs. This is a concerted effort by our old sapiens friends the Purifiers to flood the streets with drugs that not only are invariably fatal to mutants, but risk collateral damage as well. They call it Operation Noah. More Biblical cover for genocide.

We have pinpointed a warehouse in Brooklyn that appears to be their center of operations and manufacturing. Loathe as I am to admit it, interference may be beyond XFI's capabilities. I propose shepherding a small company of X-Men to the warehouse for reconnaissance and, very likely, a raid.

What do we know about this? It's been nearly a full year since we dismantled Haven and I haven't heard shit from Josie or Abhay, so I don't think this is them, but I don't want to discount the possibility they're finally making new moves.

Following Arthur and I’s attendance of their service, it seems that the church is building quite a bit. Thanks to the canvassing done, it seems the community is rather neutral, with a confirmation that their building rate is rather substantial. I was able to check with the county’s zoning department, and it seems they have even more in the works. Despite being called a church, it doesn’t seem they meet the criteria for tax exemption status. However, this doesn’t fully account for the estimated donation intake.

To summarize why that’s important: this is an incredibly large amount of money that is entering the church, and because of this I would recommend we look a little deeper into their finances. If there is any book cooking going on, it might be best to pay a personal visit to their account.

Subject: Re the abrupt X-Jet departure yesterday

As most are probably aware, I keep several background alerts for any sort of content on the internet that might be relevant to the mansion, either in terms of threats or mutants in need of assistance.

Yesterday was something of a twofer - a video titled 'mutant vs men in black' popped up from a phone in rural Nebraska. It featured a young woman in a blind rage attacking what were clearly well trained and well-equipped professionals of some kind. As soon as the video popped up, I also became aware of a concerted effort to remove the video and any related content from public view.

Given the time constraint, and the fact the young woman had a very distinctive set of metal claws, I alerted Kyle to gather whoever he could so that we could assist. An impromptu team consisting of the two of us, Logan, Madin, Maya, and Rogue all departed in the jet to Nebraska immediately. Once on the ground, we found out that the effort to remove the video extended to a comprehensive jamming of all outbound signals from the area.

We encountered a number of dead bodies as well as an injured Dr. Sarah Kinney. We got her stabilized and made our way to an airfield where what I assume was Weapon X personnel were trying to abduct Laura Kinney. We fought our way to Laura and then evacuated with her and her mother and returned to the mansion.

In somewhat concerning though entirely predictable followup news, the location in Nebraska is completely free of any trace of the quasi-military incursion or any indication that anyone was violently attacked. Someone is being VERY thorough about covering their tracks.

The universe has once again opened upon us, and the world has been changed.

Rest assured – this has been handled.

A being emerged this morning after a brief connection with Our Causeway, burning with the will to twist nature itself. They rejected hospitality. They were promptly subdued.

Physicians and alienists: the creature is being held in the chapel quarantine area. It had wrapped itself in some strange, fragile cocoon, so this may merely be a larval form. Do as you must.

For the rest of you: steer clear of the chapel. The anomalous energy continues to persist in the aftermath. Excalibur's finest are assessing the situation. Do as advised.

Molly Hayes, Marius Laverne, and Illyana Rapstunia, Sovereign of the Stepping Realm and all its claims, will be commended for their aid in bringing this affair to its conclusion quickly.

Firstly, Liam and Catseye are returned to the mansion and recovering from their ordeal. It appears that they were targeted for kidnapping while at Central Park due to their visible mutant status. They were then transported to the Adirondacks for some manner of ritual combined with a "Most Dangerous Game" livestreamed hunt involving failed reality star Ulysses Bloodstone.

Bloodstone himself does not appear to be the one behind the magical aspect of the hunt - that was organized by his wife Verussa, who unfortunately seems to have escaped amidst the chaos. The focus of the ritual was an artefact - a ruby red stone not dissimilar from Illyana Rasputin's bloodstones. The similarity seems to be coincidental, though, as there is no apparent connection between them.

Approximately a dozen other visibly feral mutants of a variety of morphological types (rabbit, insect, et cetera) were also abducted from around the tri-state area and provided as prey for the hunters. The magic involved seems to have distorted the perception of the 'hunters', causing the prey to appear more bestial than their actual appearance.

The X-Men were able to intervene before any of the mutants could be murdered, and they were all brought back to the mansion in order to have their injuries treated (the more severe ones were transported to the emergency room). Some of the victims are still at the mansion while transportation home is coordinated.

SHIELD, the FBI, and local authorities were alerted as to the situation and had taken Bloodstone into custody for questioning regarding the human trafficking attacks as of our departure from the area.

A little bit of good news that we probably need after all that - we've successfully destroyed the Slendermen's bubble dimension.

I won't get too into the details unless someone really wants them, but basically Amanda, Clea, Stephen, and I have been working for a bit on a spell that was meant to destabilize the dimension. Admittedly we had to rush a bit yesterday, but we managed to set it off right after everyone got out. Thank you Arthur for keeping the portal open and stable long enough for us to do that and run.

I haven't talked to anyone who got dragged in yesterday - actually, I don't remember getting home at all, I can only assume someone had to carry me, so thank you for that as well - but if there are any concerns about lasting physical/magical effects on anyone, send them to me for a look over. Tomorrow. Possibly Monday. But aside from Maya (who was a special case), people are usually okay once they get out of that place (aside from a persistent egg aversion) so it should be fine.

I'll try to be available for questions for a bit, but no promises.

- Seven anomalies of significance proportion enough to note this week. All but one self resolved, and drones sent were deployed to scout to three. Six held signs of civilization found within safe deployment radius. One result held only ruinous desert. Notes attached. Review at your leisure.

- The current connection has proven stable enough to traverse, but reads to close within the week. Advise.

- Meggan Svardos, have my affirmation that the sociological data retrieved has been sent for your care. The science corps were automatically copied.

- Medium to small 'blips' have been noted with frequency and length.

- I have personally surveyed three additional Atlantean outpost locations as provided by the translated relic starcharts. Neither are operational and were flooded. Molly Hayes, We will suggest it may prove advantageous to ensure the drones are able to travel underwater to ensure proper documentation.

Recently, Harvard removed a book bound in human skin. It, amazingly, is not magic or cursed in any way.

However, if they're going to start going through their collection and possibly removing books, there are at least three I've identified that we should absolutely get away from them because they are magic. It's not a high priority thing, they're not accessible to the public and they haven't been identified for review, but sooner rather than later would be good.

It is admittedly difficult to pick out real Slendermen sightings from the new Slenderman creepypasta of the week, but it would seem there's been an uptick of "suspicious people in suits" sightings in places you wouldn't expect to see them. I'm starting to think it might be time to do something about that world permanently.

Thanks to Rogue's details about what happened last night, it is pretty clear we're dealing with Arcade again, although Jacob Lowenstein and his wife Lorina were both spotted ringside at the Pena/Green rematch in Las Vegas last night. Looks like he's letting staff run it or maybe sublets Murderworld out now.

So, bad news. Nothing recoverable at the site so far and unless Arcade's MO has changed or he got sloppy, that will likely continue to be the case. The building and land is owned through a shell company for foreign investment that disappears into a maze of subholdings and the like. It would take years to unravel it to try and find who specifically owns it. And I put in a call to EDIE and the Javits Centre. Seems the theatre was shutdown for staff training at the time our people were there, with no video records or corroborating evidence. We could try and leverage our GPS tracking on the mansion phones, but even then, we can't prove they were taken anywhere. Just that their phones ended up in the garbage out back.

In short, once again, Arcade covered his tracks well enough that there's no evidence that any kind of crime took place. I called in a couple of favours so they're going to spend a couple more days on the site but unless they turn up some evidence or stumble on a witness, there's nothing we can do through official channels.

The good news is that no one seems badly hurt by the encounter. But in the past, Arcade has been clear he doesn't target kids for anything potentially lethal. In our last Murderworld run in, he let them think other 'contestants' had been harmed but no one suffered more than a few minor bumps and bruises. Something doesn't add up. Hopefully we can uncover more in the future.
