Yo, peeps:

Just a check-in to see how everything's going at the chapel. Everybody's stuff organized the way you want it? Got everything you need? Personally, I think we should upgrade to a two-carafe coffee maker. Who's with me? Also, bigger mugs.

On a related note, all the supplies for the kitchenette (forks, sweetener packets, straws, coffee filters, etc) are on the bottom shelf of the world's tiniest pantry in that corner. The rest of it's stocked with granola bars and other non-perishables so people like me won't starve when we forget to leave the lab.

If we run out of something or it looks like we're gonna run out soon, let me or Kyle know. One of us is doing finances for the team. (Not it.)

Speaking of the labs -- all the standard chemicals and equipment/supplies are stocked in the storage room at the end of the hallway in the second subbasement. (Regular cleaning supplies are in the storage room in the same spot on the basement hallway, where the library and Matt's office are.) All of the labs themselves are finally fully equipped with functional panic buttons, which will seal that particular lab off to avoid further contamination, as well as last-resort water/firebomb switches (and an itty bitty safe room where you go before you hit those, since we're not drowning/frying people here, obvs).

We're having a safety meeting on Wednesday at 11a. Even if you're not going to be using a lab specifically for research or development, I'd like everybody to show up. There's a chance anybody could be in a lab to drop something off when an emergency happens and they might be closest to the buttons/switches. Knowledge is power and everybody wants gold stars from Darcy, right? Right.

I'll bring bagels and stuff. Put your requests in now so I can make a list and set an alarm or six. If you want fancy coffee, bring it or its ingredients yourself. You guys know I drink mine black.

Also, T: I've got a couple more boxes of books coming in on Tuesday. I can get them to the library, no problem, but do you want me to help sort them out?

So people who can see colors won't shoot you in the midst of a melee battle or whatever. Obviously I would never shoot you, but I've heard having cohesive team colors is a good thing. Besides, your suit could use an update. And you'll be more like Batman if your suit's not entirely red.

Absolutely. I've got some ins with a few material scientists doing work with lightweight, liquid bulletproof stuff. I've helped make a couple other suits and stuff, so I can give you the deets on those, if you want.

What, the X-Men are black and yellow, X-Force is black and... black? We should probably do a poll to see who wants to do what. Personally, I vote for purple. I can't actually see the difference, but I've been told I look good in purple.

What kind of books? Library's split up into science and magic, it's pretty easy to tell which is which. Just leave them near what shelves they're supposed to be on, I can take care of it. It'd take too much time to teach you the system.

Also you do realize some of us are still in school, right? I have a final on Wednesday, and it's one of the classes I still have a chance of passing so I probably shouldn't skip it.

Technically done with classes, finals start tomorrow and run through May 11. I have two exams tomorrow, then one on Wednesday and Thursday, one next Monday and Tuesday, and a meeting with my adviser on Friday. I'm all yours after that.

That's true. I hadn't even considered that. Maybe I'll hit up Jane and Doc Selvig to see if they have anything they'd like to donate. But all of that'll be science stuff, too. Except for possibly some of Doc Selvig's Norse mythology stuff. And even then, it wouldn't be his, cause I'd just get us our own copies.

If you're around for the safety meeting on Wed, great. If not, we can just go over the stuff covered next week. Or you can come to the one next month. I think monthly meetings sounds like a great idea.

OH&S was not my focus but I believe places that have possibilities for work place injury require monthly safety meetings to meet code. Given that we have labs, I would need to have Matt look up the legalities however re: reporting,

While I also have the math skills I am also your sole Doctor and do not have time in my high stress wirligig life of residency to make spreadsheets and deal with IRS. Can we not hire an accountant for this?

Since we have a fully stocked medlab only a walk up the garden away, I decided only an offshoot emergency first aid station was needed for the actual office.

I’ve stocked it with what I think we’ll need and made sure wash stations have been installed at various points. I will go over this in the meeting however.
