Well, the paintings that have appeared at the District X Community Centre are legitimate, stolen sometime overnight from the MET. There are extremely good forgeries in place.

None of us are responsible, I have no idea who is, and it is handled. They will be returned quietly, the forgeries will be setup in the Community center as an educational exhibit on historic art, and I owe at least two people very large favours in order to make this as quiet as possible.

I don't like it. It's a good ploy to not only make the District X Community Centre the owners of a major crime, but to gin up anti-mutant hysteria that mutants are using their power to steal 'human masterpieces' away from the children or something.

We need to find out who is involved, because they are doing us no favours with this shit.

That is why I just called in half a dozen favours. The MET has no idea at the moment, and by this time tomorrow the original paintings and forgeries will be swapped. The MET will have their originals, the DXCC will have the forgeries, and then we can take time to find out who did this.

Doug has the footage from the MET and 114 ounces of something terrible and caffeinated and any information we find will go into the Monday meeting.
