We've confirmed that the missing people are definitely not in the tri-state area. At this point if we want to expand out further we're going to need somewhere to actually focus on. "Find this person wherever in the world they are" is unfortunately not valid.

Technology has unfortunately also turned up empty. Despite the persistent surveillance state, yadda yadda commentary on privacy in the digital age, there are still plenty of holes where cameras don't see, and when anonymous vans disappear into those blind spots, who knows where they come out or whether they've changed appearance, swapped plates, or offloaded things in the meantime.
