I really, really hate this bollocks.
It seems us magic-using types have drawn the attention of the Winding Way. Ancient magical 'union', engaged in eternal struggle, blah, blah. I wouldn't give a toss, except that they're looking at recruitment, and they'll be "testing" us to see if we're worthy and where our allegiances lie. And that includes the kids.
I've let them all know, and I'll be keeping an eye on them, but I'm only one me and I'm going to be subject to this shite as well. Might be time to beef up the security systems, and watch out for anything unusual. Any questions, fire away. I'll get to them once I'm done talking to Charles and drinking my weight in Earl Grey.

We were at that bank hold up. The guy was trying to get attention so the police would look for his son. Apparently the kid's a visible mutant and Dad felt the police weren't doing enough to find him. He's probably not wrong.
Lorna and I said we'd try to find the kid if the guy gave himself up. Not a pleasant situation at all.

x-polarisstar.livejournal.comSince the arson we had an increase of scared business owners who are afraid they might be next. Any suggestions on how we should handle this, because this is currently getting to our limit and that is not including the cases we are already working on.

Quire, I understand not using. Fairly certain I pay him to leave me alone. Hope, on the other hand is actually pleasant to be around.
I now royally decree (because I can do that) that Hope be used as a research assistant and her full paycheque be earned with the blood and sweat of hard work.
On another note, I'm reinstating Taco Tuesdays. I hope there will be no further salsa incidents. The last one cost me a fortune in drycleaning.

That would be the attempt a radical off-shoot of the sewer mutants to bomb the station for mutant rights or some other kind of blather. They were stopped and the bomb defused and it's all good. Messy, but good. Of course, now there's a bunch of hacking and damage control and all the rest, but at least there wasn't a major terrorist incident.
We weren't the only ones busy tonight. Angie, how'd the Sapien League op go? Did you get enough information to settle this thing?

Group we were asked to look into are members of a group going by the Sapien League, which is as friendly as that sounds. Anti-mutant, mutants are a cancer-like disease, which gives them the right to take mutants as they please for study on how to get rid of them.
They're pretty stealthy, apparently, not much for demonstrations other than the whole kidnapping murder thing, and don't have much official law enforcement type paperwork. We're pretty sure they actually use law inforcement as a cover; no one is going to argue with a badge these days.
No solid location other than based in NYC, but we'd put money on CMC.

What I've got on the building itself is this: it's built on top of what used to be the Beekman Street Mariners Hospital and is, as the name 'medical center' implies, a fancypants medicine-related building. It's got five stories up top, at least one underground level down below, and is used by a couple different research groups from various medical agencies.

I'm betting we need to set up tech and street level surveillance, probably with a radius of a few blocks around South Street (cover Fulton, Beekman, Front, Water, Dover, Pearl, and John Streets - also Peck Slip and FDR Drive). It's right near the Brooklyn Bridge, so getting eyes on things shouldn't be all that difficult, but I'll let the sneaky-sneaks handle that angle.

A group of well-armed (and well-trained) humans was trying to destroy them. They've been stopped, but we need more intel on these people and the police were hella slow showing up. X-Force? X-Factor? Think you guys can assist?
Also, is it bad when my reaction to being attacked with rats and tasers is "oh, good" and I'm not even being sarcastic?

I'd first like to thank morphine for making this post a reality. You the real MVP.
Also, XFI had one heckuva night, amirite? Long story short, we've been looking into that Mole guy's untimely demise. Due to some excellent detective work, we found a penthouse and a phone, in that order. The phone had a call from Carslyle Medical Centre in lovely Manhattan, but alas, they use a switchboard. Jackasses.
The penthouse, well... we were less lucky on that front. Some hairy, beast like thing with claws attacked us and let's just say, certain body parts barely avoided destruction. Have no fears though -- the wazzer is safe.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to formally object to mutton chops and trench coats. I'm sure it has a certain charm to it but it only works if you don't have chipmunk cheeks.
Anyways. XFI out. I think the team needs a Caribbean cruise while we recuperate because frankly, we look worse than Frankenstein's Monster. Team? Thoughts? I have a uranium card, and I'm not afraid to use it.

I checked some of our sources and the Chronicle had it right, the police really don't care about this case, even though he was ripped apart in an obvious murder. And right in our backyard too. I'm going to keep an eye on the situation with the NYPD but I don't think they're really interested in finding out any information about the case.

The police have already asked for information about her and the local news sites have already started tagging her as a mutant. Seems like a situation that we might wanna keep an eye on incase things go south.
